About our Moderator:

Marc Sinkow is a serial entrepreneur having founded a half-dozen companies over the past 30 years primarily in the healthcare sector.

Marc earned a BS degree from Ithaca College and took post graduate work in accounting at Wharton.

Marc began his career in sales working for a healthcare products distribution firm servicing the alternate care market; physicians, nursing homes, and home health care. His first foray into business was the formulation of a specialty home medical equipment company providing orthopedic and physical therapy products and billing third-party payers. In the mid-80s he was part of a team negotiating a compensation trade agreement with China for latex examination gloves. Seizing the opportunity he formed a Malaysian glove manufacturing firm producing powder free latex examination gloves.

In the late 1990’s realizing wholesale margins were restrictive Marc developed a domestic financial and marketing model for distribution. This model produced an annual growth rate of 36% and a one-year high of 148%.

Concurrently in the 1990s, along with a partner, Marc established a highly profitable medical transcription service focusing on physician and physical therapy offices.

Marc brings a wealth of experience having managed sales and marketing, finance/accounting, and operations. Today he shares this perspective both individually and in forum type settings. He has devoted the last several years to facilitating senior level peer advisory groups working both independently as well as with the DVIRC with manufacturers and distributors in the five counties surrounding Phila.

Marc has been an adjunct professor at Drexel, and evaluates business plans for both Drexel’s Baida Center and Temple’s Fox Business school annual entrepreneur challenges.
